If you do need to cancel, refunds are made on the following basis: in the event of a delegate’s cancellation up to two calendar months prior to any Kent FoW event, 75% of the fee will be refunded (excluding booking fee). In the event of a delegate’s cancellation between one and two calendar months prior to any event 50% of the fee will be refunded (excluding booking fee). Thereafter no refunds are possible. Please note: the booking fee applied at the time of payment is non-refundable under any circumstances for any Kent FoW event

Presenter / tutor availability
Kent FoW will make every effort to ensure that the tutor who leads the workshop, talk or course will be the one advertised. Where this is not possible, Kent FoW will ensure a suitably qualified replacement. Kent FoW will make every effort to ensure that the workshops take place at the advertised venue and that any technology platforms have full function. Kent FoW cannot however guarantee this and may occasionally have to offer alternative locations / platforms, etc.
Whilst the Kent FoW will make every endeavour to present the workshops and speakers at the times specified, the festival is not responsible for presenter’s lateness or cancellation. Wherever possible, suitable replacements will be arranged.
Bookings are offered on a first come first served basis. The website bookings will close a minimum of two weeks prior to any event.
Delegates must behave safely, courteously and appropriately at all times. Threatening, violent or abusive behaviour will result in immediate ejection from the venue.
Delegates must be 18 or over. Kent FoW will also accept 16 and 17 year olds by prior agreement and only with written consent from a parent or guardian.
Neither the delegates nor Kent FoW shall connect any computer equipment to the venue’s network unless the venue has examined and approved such computer equipment prior the connection occurring.
Kent FoW shall incur no liability for any failure to fulfil any obligation if prevented from doing so by any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Kent FoW reserve the right to change the programme or venue prior or on the day of any event.
‘The venue’ means any meeting rooms and facilities available at events. ‘Kent FoW’ means Kent Festival of Writing, which is organizing the events. ‘Delegates’ means the persons attending any Kent FoW event who are entitled to use the facilities under provision of the contract. ‘The facilities’ means the facilities at the venue.
